Negroni Mocktail
Sober curious? Try a delicious and refreshing Negroni made with Abstinence Premium Distilled Non-Alcoholic Spirits & Aperitifs!*
For this Negroni(ish) mocktail, I used Abstinence Blood Orange Bittersweet Apertif (comparable to Campari) and Abstinence Cape Citrus Spirit, which is kind of like a citrus-y gin.
I added just 1 oz of simple syrup to balance the bitterness of the aperitif, but you can use more or less according to your tastes.
The orange peel garnish is essential! When you squeeze the peel over the mixed cocktail, you get a super fine spray of orange oil that scents the whole cocktail. Garnish with this same orange peel. Delicious and refreshing!
What are some variations for a Negroni Mocktail?
- For a fun option, add citrus soda for a Negroni Sbagliato!
- Add a couple of dashes of non-alcoholic bitters.
- Try blending the mixed cocktail in a blender with more ice for a frozen delight
You can shake or stir this cocktail; and I always strain it after to remove any ice shards.
Serve in a rocks glass filled with ice. If you have the ability to add a fancy large ice cube, even better!
