Hi, I’m Lulu and I’m the creator here at Dinner at Lulu’s! Dinner is my favourite meal of the day. Dinner shared with friends or family is even better! My goal is to show you how easy it is. No more take-out for you!
I have a background in graphic design and marketing, but I have been writing about food for about 15 years. I started out with a blog about desserts, and I absolutely loved creating delicious treats and learning how to photograph them so they looked so tantalizing, you wanted to lick the screen! But then, the doctor said, “cut back on sugar!” And suddenly, I was without a blog for a few years.
Later, I wrote & photographed for a food column in a local lifestyle magazine for a few years. Through that creative outlet, I discovered that I enjoyed cooking things that weren’t just dessert. I loved highlighting fresh, local ingredients.
Why Dinner?
I agree that breakfast and lunch are important, but here at Dinner at Lulu’s, we are all about Dinner! I usually make enough so that I have a lunch the next day, so I like to simply focus on the evening meal. Why not make it special every day, and gather your family or friends together? And by making your dinner yourself, from scratch, you can focus on eating in a more healthy way. Who doesn’t want that?
You will find these recipes easy and stress-free to make. When available, I will use fresh ingredients from my own garden (I’ll show you how to grow your own, too!).
