You will have peace of mind knowing every single ingredient in this seasoning blend! There will be no worrying about hidden ingredients like sugar or preservatives.

All of these ingredients you can grow in your own garden, harvest, and dry yourself. Most of these can be grown indoors on a windowsill or your plant shelf!

How do you dry herbs?

You can dry your own herbs using any of these easy methods:

  • Hang to dry naturally
  • Use a dehydrator
  • Use a very low oven temperature (the lowest setting for your oven)
  • Use a microwave (this is the method I use!)

How do you use Poultry Seasoning?

It goes without saying that Poultry Seasoning is perfect for ANY poultry dish! Chicken, turkey, duck, or goose — whatever you decide to make, this mix will add incredible flavour.

This seasoning blend is great for stuffing and gravy, too!

You can also use Poultry Seasoning to flavour compound (herbed) butters, potatoes, casseroles, bean dishes, dips, and patés. Try using it in my Chicken Pot Pie Gnocchi!

How long does Homemade Poultry Seasoning take to make?

It takes literal minutes to measure and mix the spices, and store in a sealed jar. You can use it as is, with each individual flake of herb visible and distinct, or you can blend it further with a coffee grinder to further reduce the mix down to a more uniform texture.

Ingredients to make Homemade Poultry Seasoning are arranged on a slate.

Can I Make Substitutions?

You can vary the amounts of each of the different herbs, depending on your tastes. Try the recipe as written first, and adjust for your next batch.
