Homemade Poultry Seasoning

Homemade Poultry Seasoning is easy-to-make fragrant blend of sage, thyme, rosemary, marjoram, pepper, and nutmeg. This seasoning mix will add amazing flavour to your roast chicken, turkey, or stuffing!

Equipment

  • 125ml Jar with lid

Ingredients

To make approx. ¼ cup (see note):

  • 1 Tablespoon dried sage
  • 1 Tablespoon dried thyme
  • 2 teaspoons dried marjoram
  • 1.5 teaspoons dried rosemary
  • 1 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper

To make approx. 1 Tablespoon (see note):

  • ¾ teaspoon dried sage
  • ¾ teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried marjoram
  • 3/8 teaspoon dried rosemary
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

To make about a ¼ cup of Poultry Seasoning:

  • Measure and add all ingredients in the ¼ cup section into a small bowl. Stir with a whisk until completely blended. Store in a container with a tight-fitting lid. See article above about how to use Poultry Seasoning.

To make about 1 Tablespoon of Poultry Seasoning:

  • Measure and add all ingredients in the 1 Tablespoon section into a small bowl. Stir with a whisk until completely blended. Store in a container with a tight-fitting lid, or use immediately in your recipe.

Notes

This recipe makes slightly less than a ¼ cup, and slightly less than 1 tablespoon. This should not make any difference to the final flavour of your recipe!
