Roast Beef Crostinis with Whipped Horseradish Creme Fraiche
Elegant Roast Beef Crostinis with Whipped Horseradish Crème Fraiche are the perfect bite! Tender roast beef sits on the creamiest whipped crème fraiche on garlicky toasted baguette slices.

Using shaved roast beef from the deli counter, this appetizer is so easy to whip together. Simply toast baguette slices, top with the tangy and savory whipped crème fraiche, and garnish with sliced green onion. What could be easier?

How long do Roast Beef Crostinis take to make?
It only takes about 20 minutes to put together this delicious appetizer. 10 minutes to toast and crisp the baguette slices, and 5 minutes to whip the crème fraiche. Then put it all together and serve.

Let’s talk about the ingredients for Roast Beef Crostinis with Whipped Horseradish Creme Fraiche
Roast Beef – I’ve used premade roast beef from the deli counter, shaved paper thin. It couldn’t be easier, and there’s no cooking to do.
Crème Fraiche – Crème fraiche is just as easy to whip as heavy cream! You could substitute sour cream but it won’t whip up as fluffy; it would still be delicious.
Horseradish – Use prepared horseradish and choose one you like. I used creamed horseradish because it’s a bit milder and less harsh.
Green onion – This is my favourite garnish! The mild oniony flavour pairs well with the beef and the tangy crème fraiche.
Baguette – I’ve used a thin baguette and sliced into about ½” – 1” slices, as I feel that is the easiest to bite through.

Can I Make Substitutions?
Beef – Do you have leftover roast beef? Use that! Got steak laying around? Go ahead and use that, instead! This recipe is quite flexible.
Crème Fraiche – You could substitute sour cream, but it will not whip up as much as the crème fraiche. It’s still tasty!

- 1 cup crème fraiche chilled
- 1/2 lemon juiced and zested
- 2 Tablespoons prepared horseradish
- ½ teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
- Salt & pepper
- 1 bunch green onions sliced thin
Instructions

- Preheat oven to 350°F. Prepare crostinis by slicing the baguette into ½” slices. Melt the butter and brush each slice with butter, and then rub each slice with a garlic clove cut in half.
