Basil Pesto

Basil Pesto is the quickest, easiest, no-cook sauce you’ll make! When you make it fresh, the flavour is out of this world.

Equipment

  • 1 food processor or blender

Ingredients

  • 6 cups fresh basil leaves washed & dried
  • 2/3 cup pine nuts lightly toasted
  • 4 cloves garlic peeled, whole
  • 1 cup parmesan grated
  • 1 cup olive oil extra virgin

Instructions

  • Place all ingredients except oil into a food processor. Mix until chopped into very small pieces. 
  • While processor is running, slowly add olive oil until mixture is smooth and to the consistency you like.

Notes

This pesto can be stored in the refrigerator for about a week, and freezes well.
