Whipped Brie Appetizer with Figs & Walnuts

Light and fluffy Whipped Brie is topped with fig jam and chopped walnuts for the easiest appetizer, ever!

Equipment

  • 1 stand mixer with paddle attachment
  • 1 Cutting board
  • 1 Serrated bread knife

Ingredients

  • 3 packages Brie cheese (300g or 8oz each) Do not use less than 3 wheels or it won't work!
  • fig jam
  • 1/4 cup chopped walnuts

Instructions

  • Using a serrated bread knife, cut off all the rinds from the brie wheels and discard rinds.
  • Chop up brie into cubes, and let them come to room temperature.
  • Add brie cubes to the bowl of a stand mixer, fitted with the paddle attachment.
  • Beat brie on medium to medium high for about 10 minutes. When done, the mixture will look like fluffy buttercream frosting.
  • To serve, pile whipped brie into a decorative bowl or onto a plate, top with fig jam and chopped walnuts, alongside a selection of sturdy crackers or toasted baguette slices.

Notes

*Note: Do not use less than 3 wheels of brie or the recipe won't work.
