Pink 75 Cocktail

This is my version of a French 75 cocktail. I enjoyed many of these on New Year’s Eve; I hope you will try it!

A photo of everything needed to put into a Pink 75 cocktail; champagne flute glass, cocktail shakerm measuring cups, lemon, Empress 1908 gin in the bottle, and a vial of red berry syurup.

The fun pink colour comes from the gin and the simple syrup. The gin is Empress 1908 gin, which is a gorgeous purple colour! The purple comes from the butterfly pea blossoms used in the gin-making process.

I made this red berry syrup for the cocktail, but you can use any simple syrup you have.

Can I Make Substitutions?

Empress 1908 Gin – You can use any gin, but the purple colour of the Empress 1908 gives the cocktail this fun pink colour.

Red berry syrup – The syrup is so easy to make, but if you’re short on time, you can use simple syrup.

Champagne – You could substitute sparkling white or rosé wine, or prosecco.

The Pink 75 Cocktail Method

Made in a cocktail shaker, the Pink 75 Cocktail comes together quickly.

First add ice to the shaker. Then add your syrup, lemon juice, and gin.

Get your champagne flute glass ready by taking a slice of lemon peel and running it around the rim of the glass.

Shake it well and strain into the glass. Fill the glass to the top with champagne. Garnish with lemon peel. Cheers!

Time: 15 minutes for syrup, 5 minutes for cocktail.

Tools used: Cocktail shaker, champagne flute
